4/10/2010· I agree that that MDPE pipe is very stiff although on the two occassions I have used it I have always felt duty bound to install the inserts. I must say though that with the inserts fitted it was difficult on both occassions to slip a nut and olive over the end and insert the pipe into a new brass stop valve for a compression joint.
